PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive storage device exhibiting strong resistance against disturbance and provided with rewrite inhibit data. SOLUTION: The storage device comprises: a first substrate 10 provided with a plurality of row lines 11 arranged in parallel; a second substrate 20 provided with a plurality of column lines 21 arranged in parallel and disposed oppositely to the first substrate 10 through a gap such that the column lines 21 intersect the row lines 11; particles 30 arranged selectively at the intersections of the row lines 11 and the column lines 21 and movable between the opposing row lines 11 and column lines 21 and between adjacent intersections; and a voltage limit circuit for controlling the voltage being applied to the intersection to a predetermined level or below.
