PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch capable of being detected whether or not a basic rail and a tongue rail are appropriately adhered to each other without using a locking lever or without depending on the locking lever. SOLUTION: The switch 1 comprises operating levers 11 and 13, a driving means 15 providing driving force to only the operating lever on an opening side of the tongue rail in a near section of at least a normal position or an opposite position, a coil spring (an elastic means) 17 transferring the driving force of the operating lever on the opening side of the tongue rail to the operating lever on the adherence side of the tongue rail and a locking means 21 locking when the operating lever on the adherence side of the tongue rail reaches a terminal position corresponding to the normal position or the opposite position. Engagement secure surfaces 75 and 79 having relatively a small amount of notch and engagement avoidable surfaces 77 and 81 having a large amount of notch are provided to cam surfaces 71 and 73 engaged with a switch roller 39 in a pair of operating levers in a predetermined relative position.
