PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a take-out carton paper having good performance which can be produced at a low cost. SOLUTION: The take-out carton paper (1) is used to package a food to generate steam immediately after the food is ready such as a large-sized baked cake with sweet bean paste and a rotated baked cake therein immediately after the food is ready, and an emboss pattern (2) is formed by providing a large number of small projections (11) on a food contact surface of the paper. An embossed pattern forming means forms the embossed food contact surface by passing an original (1a) of the take-out carton paper between a gravure printing plate (10) with a large number of small projections formed thereon and an impression cylinder (20).
