<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always unify a modulation method of up and down transmission lines independently of bidirectional multiplexed system. <P>SOLUTION: A propagation line estimator 109 in a terminal station 100 detects the RSSI average value of down lines, and informs a base station 200 of the detected result. The base station 200 receives the RSSI average value of the down lines from the terminal station 100, and detects the RSSI average value of up lines by a propagation line estimator 209. An adaptive modulation control unit 210 compares a lower value out of the received RSSI average value of the down lines and the detected RSSI average value of the up lines with a threshold to determine a modulation method, informs the terminal station 100 of the determined modulation method to set the determined modulation method in a modulation part 102 and a demodulation part 105, and sets the determined modulation method in a modulator 202 and a demodulator 205 in the base station 200 synchronously with the setting timing of the terminal station 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
