<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a powder containing crystalline particles of glucopyranosyl-alditol. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises a mixing step involving continuous mixing of a syrup containing at least 80 wt.% dry matter and at least 95 wt.%, preferably at least 98 wt.% glucopyranosyl-alditol based on the weight of the dry matter, wherein the mixing is carried out by simultaneously dispersing the glucopyranosyl-alditol syrup and crystal nuclei containing glucopyranosyl-alditol in an open rotary container containing glucopyranosyl-alditol granules so that the syrup and the crystal nuclei are mixed at the surface of the glucopyranosyl-alditol granules contained in the container, a step wherein the glucopyranosyl-alditol granules are recovered from the container and a crystallizing step wherein the glucopyranosyl-alditol contained in the granules is crystallized, wherein the granules in the container are kept in motion by rotation of the container. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
