PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the operability of a household electric appliance adaptor, which is arranged between the household electric appliance and a network such as the Internet and a home network in order to connect the household electric appliance to the network. SOLUTION: The household electric appliance adaptor 100 includes: an appliance interface section 102A connected to the household electric appliance 200; a network interface section 103A connected to a controller and other appliances on the network 300; a general-purpose interface section 104A connected to a personal computer 400; a download management section 120B for downloading control software used for controlling the household electric appliance 200 from each interface section according to predetermined procedures; a display section 110A capable of displaying from which of at least the interface sections 102A, 103A, 104A the software is downloaded; and also debugging data storage section for storing debugging data for the control software; and the display section 110A for displaying data stored in the debugging data storage section.
