PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method of an organic material, able to stably carry out an organic-material biodegradation treatment without generation of excess sludge, a treated water to be discharged, etc. when treating a mixture liquid of the organic material and a microbe. SOLUTION: The treatment method of the organic material is characterized in that air, oxygen or those mixed gas are introduced from an oxygen supplying apparatus 6 into a mixture liquid of an aeration treatment tank 2, having the organic material and the microbe and having a microbe concentration of 10,000 ppm or above by total organic carbon concentration, to biodegradade the organic material, and therefore a degradation product and water discharged from the mixture liquid are made to vaporize with biodegradative reaction heat not to discharge the excess sludge and treated water outside, wherein a persistent-material treatment step wherein the temperature of the mixture liquid is kept 38°C or above and a biodegradation treatment step wherein the temperature of the mixture liquid is kept below 38°C, are alternatively carried out.
