PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope capable of using excitation light with visible wavelength range, which does not necessitate adjusting color data and brightness when it is connected to a processor of the electronic endoscope. SOLUTION: A signal treatment circuit 144 is stored in a joint 14 of the electronic endoscope 10, and outputs a component signal of YCC components by calculating an analog image signal output from the imaging element 117 in the inserting part 11 with the intrinsic coefficient. The signal treatment circuit 144 adds the readjustment data read out from the EEPROM 145 inside to the intrinsic coefficient by a control circuit 146 when the excitation light is irradiated from the tip end of the inserting part 11 while the imaging element 117 treats the obtained image signal, and corrects the color data and the brightness of the image based on the component signal of YCC components.
