PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a drying performance in a constitution of drying clothes using a heat pump. SOLUTION: In this drying machine, a rotary drum 7 and both ends of an air passage 18 are connected via an exhaust duct 30 and an air feed duct 34. The air passage 18 is disposed with an evaporator and a condenser constituting the heat pump, and a blower fan 22 circulating air between the exhaust duct 30 and the air passage 18, and between the air feed duct 34 and the rotary drum 7. The exhaust duct 30 is provided with an outlet 33 for passing a part of the air circulating a circulating air duct to the outside, and the air passage 18 is provided with an inlet 24 for passing ambient air into the air passage 18. This constitution raises the temperature of the air returned from the air feed duct 34 to the rotary drum 7 and at the same time reduces a relative humidity to improve the drying efficiency.
