PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level detection apparatus capable of preventing a float or a buffer material mounted to the vicinity of the float from coming off even in fuel. SOLUTION: The liquid level detection apparatus 1 is provided with the float 2 floating on a liquid level; an arm 3 mounted to the float 2 for converting the vertical motion of the float 2 into rotational motion on an axis of rotation; rotation angle detectors 6 and 7 for detecting the rotation angle of the arm 3; and buffer members 21. The buffer members 21 are partially arranged in holes 22 in the float at least either above an upper bound surface of the float 2 or below a lower bound surface of the float 2 in the direction of the vertical motion of the float 2.
