<p>There is provided a data distribution method for a network obtained by connecting a local area network having a switching hub connected to a plurality of terminals, to a wide area network. The method distributes real time information whose real time reproduction is requested from a server, to the plurality of terminals. A plurality of terminals connected to the same switching hub constitute a terminal group. For each of the terminals connected to the same switching hub, a table containing an order and an address of each terminal in the terminal group is set. The real time information from the server is received by the terminal of the uppermost order in each terminal group and the real time information received by each terminal in the terminal group is successively transferred to a terminal of order lower than the device by one rank, so that existing resources are used so as to suppress traffic increase when a plenty of terminals receive information of comparatively large information amount whose real time reproduction is requested, thereby effectively using the network.</p> |
