<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device automatically ejecting an original on the occurrence of an abnormality. <P>SOLUTION: When the abnormality occurs in the image forming device during reading the original, the original on reading operation is thoroughly read before power is forcibly turned off in the middle of a series of jobs. Thereafter, the originals in reading process left in the image forming device are ejected, and the power of the image forming device is turned off.
