<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy-to-use image forming apparatus which executes and finishes more jobs on standby before the replenishment of a printing agent by controlling the order of the execution of the jobs. <P>SOLUTION: When the plurality of jobs on standby are printed, the total amount of the printing agent required for printing is determined, and compared with the remaining amount of the printing agent. As the result of this comparison, when the total amount of the printing agent required for the printing exceeds the remaining mount of the printing agent, the order of the printing of the standby job is changed so that the printing can be performed in turn from the job using little printing agent required for the printing.
