<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film excellent in transparency, strength and flexibility, having low birefringence, and excellent also in workability. <P>SOLUTION: The optical film contains an α-1,4-glucan modification. A substitution degree of the α-1,4-glucan modification is preferably 2.5-3.0. A molecular weight of the α-1,4-glucan modification is preferably 100-6,000 kDa.
