<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To pack dimples utilizing a pattern generated in an L-system in accordance with Euclidean geometry on the whole. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of dimples 16 are formed on a substantially spherical outer surface of a golf ball 10. To pack the dimples 16 on the outer surface 14, the outer surface 14 is first divided into a plurality of shape portions 18 based on Euclidean geometry. These Euclidean geometry portions are then mapped with an L-system generated pattern 26.
