<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for passing an optical fiber cable through a conduit without causing disconnection. <P>SOLUTION: A passing wire 5 is preliminarily passed through a CD tube 3, with one end of the passing wire 5 tied to a POF cable 9, and with the other end wound on a spool 12 of a dragging device 7. The dragging device 7 has a built-in drag mechanism between an operating handle 15 and the spool 12. The drag mechanism, when a tension above a specific value actuates on the POF cable 9 through the passing wire 5, idles the operating handle 15 to stop winding. By turning a drag adjusting knob 19, the set value for idling the operating handle 15 can be changed. At the time of passing the POF cable 9 through, no tension equal to or above the set value actuates on the POF cable 9, which suppresses generation of disconnection or increase in transmission loss. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
