<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carpet which can easily be produced and has a changed surface, and to provide a stretch yarn which can suitably be used for the production of the carpet. <P>SOLUTION: A hard twisted yarn 2 prepared by first-twisting single yarns 1 and then second-twisting the twisted single yarns in the opposite direction is subjected to a set processing for fixing the twists in a cheese dyeing machine 4, and then untwisted only in a larger twist rate than the twist rate of the second twist in the returning direction to produce the stretch yarn 2A to which stretchability is imparted in the longitudinal direction after untwisted. The stretch yarn 2A is dyed with a Meyer dyeing machine 7. The stretch yarns 2A are used as pile yarns 14 to produce the carpet. Therein, when the pile yarns 14 comprising the stretch yarns 2A are used as a part of carpet pile yarns, the surface of the carpet can be changed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
