<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a photoelectric conversion device with a structure capable of effectively achieving light confinement effect for improving the power output generated thereby. <P>SOLUTION: The photoelectric conversion device is provided with a single crystal semiconductor substrate having a front side forming a light receiving surface and a back side both as flat, an insulating film covering the back side of the single crystal semiconductor substrate, and a positive and a negative electrodes formed to be in contact with the back side of the single crystal semiconductor substrate via openings formed in that insulating film.
