MANUFACTURING METHOD OF LEAD-ACID BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain airtightness trouble at a joint part between a battery jar and a lid which occurs when an adhesive is not uniformly filled, in a lead-acid battery composed by jointing the battery jar to the lid by the adhesive.

SOLUTION: This lead-acid battery is provided, on either the battery jar or the lid, with a groove part for filling the adhesive; the one side of the battery jar and the lid with the groove part formed thereon is so held as to set a formation surface of the groove part on the upper side; the adhesive is filled in the groove part; the one-side of the battery jar and the lid with the groove part formed thereon is rocked or rotated; and thereafter the other side of the battery jar and the lid without forming the groove part thereon is mounted to the groove part of the one side.
