<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress disorder of a decoding signal resulting from deviation of packet intervals when a packet form of data to be generated as a packet stream is converted and the data is transmitted via a network. <P>SOLUTION: A transport stream consisting of TS packets is output from an MPEG 2 encoder LSI 22. The TS packets are stored in an ethernet packet with larger size and transmitted to the network. Intervals of the TS packets and intervals of time reference information (PCR) contained in the packet stream of the ethernet packet are made almost identical to intervals of the TS packets and intervals of PCR contained in the transport stream, respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
