PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform easy and certain identity authentication even by a simple input means such as a numeric-key pad. SOLUTION: In this authentication device, after authenticating a code number, an authentication means and a user each input a random number. The authentication device determines a temporary number. The user and the authentication device each convert the temporary number into a specific finger, e.g. a right-hand middle finger by secret data, and perform conversion into the other fingers, e.g. a right-hand forefinger and a right-hand third finger adjacent thereto on both sides by a prescribed rule. When the user can input numbers corresponding thereto, e.g. 8, 9 by the secret data, identity is authenticated. Accordingly, the identity can be easily and certainly authenticated.
