PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder that can completely dissolve contamination due to adhered ink mist without damaging a discharge nozzle and its periphery of an inkjet print head and maintain stable recording by the inkjet print head even when the contamination is fixed on the discharge nozzle and the periphery. SOLUTION: This inkjet recorder comprises a cleaning mechanism for cleaning the surface of the inkjet head by moving in a non-contact manner, and a control mechanism for performing sucking after moving the ink used in the cleaning to a portion out of the discharge nozzle of the inkjet print head.
