PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shovel scoop, the weight of which is reduced. SOLUTION: A handle 2 and a grip connector are each formed of an aluminum material, and joined together by aluminum welding. An almost triangular cut 6 is continuously made at the leading edge of the handle 2, and protrusive pieces 7, which are left on both the sides of each cut 6, are each folded in the axial direction of the handle 2, so that a fit-in part 2a can be formed by tapering the leading-end side of the handle 2. The fit-in part 2a of the handle 2 is press-fitted into an insertion part 5a of a steel spoon body 5, and fastened and fixed by means of a rivet 9. Thus, since the aluminum handle 2 and the steel spoon body 5, which cannot be joined together by welding because they are different in material, can be easily and inexpensively joined together, a lightweight shovel using the aluminum material can be realized.
