PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new compound particularly useful as an antibacterial agent against bacteria of the genus Propionibacterium and useful as a treating agent for the treatment of acne vulgaris and the like. SOLUTION: The compound is produced from Streptomyces sp. Q34752 strain and its variant. The compound which the strains produce has an excellent antibacterial activity against bacteria of the genus Propionibacterium and is useful as a treating agent for the treatment of acne vulgaris and the like.
