摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a preparation method of a 2-pyrrone derivative, whereby an environmental load can be reduced and the target substance can be efficiently obtained. SOLUTION: In the preparation method of the 2-pyrrone derivative, a compound having a carbon-carbon triple bond within the molecule and carbon dioxide are subjected to a cyclic addition reaction in the presence of a zerovalent nickel complex catalyst, which is a complex between a compound of the formula: Ni(cod)<SB>2</SB>[wherein cod is a 1,5-cyclooctadiene optionally having a substituent] and a trialkylphosphine of the formula: P[R<SP>1</SP>R<SP>2</SP>R<SP>3</SP>] [wherein R is an alkyl group optionally having a substituent; and R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>are identical to or different from one another], in an atmosphere containing carbon dioxide. The reaction system comprises the catalyst, the atmosphere containing carbon dioxide and the compound having a carbon-carbon triple bond within the molecule other than the reaction product.
