To improve the maintenance of a computer system. A parts (3) and a connector (4) configuring a computer system (1) have RFIDs (3a and 4a) arranged therein and stored with individual pieces of maintenance information. The connector (4) has attach/detach detecting means (4b) for outputting a state signal according to the attach/detach state of the parts. A diagnostic device (2) has state detecting means (2b) for monitoring the state signal to notify diagnostic means (2c) of a change, if detected. The diagnostic means (2c) acquires, when notified of the change, the maintenance information, as held in the RFIDs (3a and 4a), of the corresponding parts (3) and connector (4) from RFID read/write means, and diagnoses the states of the parts (3) and the connector (4) with the state signal and the maintenance information. The maintenance information held in the RFIDs (3a and 4a) of the parts (3) and the connector (4) is updated according to the diagnosis result.
