PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a bottle excellent in transparency, moldability and pressure resistance. SOLUTION: In a method for producing a polyester bottle from a polyester resin compsn. containing polyethylene terephthalate and polyethylene naphthalate, the polyester resin compsn. prepared by (1) a process wherein polyethylene terephthalate and polyethylene naphthalate are mixed in such a ratio that the ethylene naphthalate component ratio to the sum total of polyethylene terephthalate and polyethylene naphthalate becomes 20-50 mol.% and (2) a process mixing the product obtained in the process 1 and additional polyethylene terephthalate so that the ratio of the ethylene naphthalate becomes 5-15 mol.% is used. |
