The cooling and freezing appliance with an ice cube maker has a restitution unit, by which the cleaning of the ice cube bowl concerned option can be restituted. A sampling unit is provided by which an intended option is selected and controlled. After the selection of the option, the means are activated for the process to displace the ice cube tray from its working position into a cleaning position.
