PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To actualize a device and method for guiding a performance, which make it possible to practice a four-handed performance without any key-area conflict between right-hand and left-hand parts. SOLUTION: After a control track is generated by extracting split points indicating division positions from music data of one part to the right and left parts among music data of the right and left parts corresponding to the four- handed performance and rearranging them in the order of sounding, the split points stored in this control track are compared with music data of the other transposition-set part one after another to detect the maximum intrusion width when the music data of the other part exceed the split points and a transposition value set for the other part is shifted according to the detected maximum intrusion width, thereby preventing the key-area conflict between the right and left parts. |
