System for creation of maintenance plans

The system has machines and/or equipment that consist of one or more components (1) e.g. field devices such as actuators. The components contain maintenance information (I), and a maintenance tool (2) produces a maintenance plan by combination of the maintenance information of the components. The components have a memory (3) for directly storing the maintenance information and are formed as automation components. An independent claim is also included for a method for creating a maintenance plan for a machine and/or an equipment.
