980,032. Paper bags. LES EMBALLAGES DE QUEVILLY S.A. June 4, 1962 [June 6, 1961; Nov. 29, 1961], No. 21549/62. Heading F2P. [Also in Divisions B5 and B8] The inner lining 1 (Fig. 16) of a paper bag (see Division B8) is heat-sealed at 11, leaving part of the hem 4 unsealed, to ensure that the lining has a greater circumference than the plies 1<SP>111</SP> subsequently tubed around the lining. A tube 68 included in part of the seal 11 serves as a valve. The hem 4 is formed by a device 3 (Fig. 1) before the lining is guided around a shoes 6, 9 serving as a folding guide for the outer webs 1<SP>1</SP> 1<SP>11</SP>, 1<SP>111</SP>. The inner lining 1 is softened in the region of the hem by a heater 8 and the seal is formed by pressure rollers 10 while the outer plies are held back by a guide 7 (Fig. 16). The outer plies are subsequently glued, with the seams staggered in successive plies, and bag blanks are then cut transversely from the multiply tube. |
