An information representation and control device (1) comprising a screen (2) for executable representation of information and a separate control panel (3) with a plurality of control elements, wherein a function is assigned to each control element and/or a plurality of user elements (4). In order to improve one such device so that the control elements can be adapted and controlled in a variety of ways in an improved and constructively simple manner, the allocation of said functions is automatically modified according to the information displayed on the screen. According to a corresponding method for representing and processing of information, a function of each control element is automatically adapted more particularly according to the information displayed on the screen and allocated to each control element. |
