In the present invention, there is disclosed a replaceable shaving cartridge (14) having a housing (16) carrying at least one blade (18) and a defining an attachment , a guard (20), a cap (22), and a camming surface (136). The cartridge includes an interconnect member (24) having a pivotal support structure that pivotally supports the housing (16) and a base structure (27) adapted to be removably and fixedly attached to the handle (12). Said base structure (27) includes at least one detent (132) for removable connection with the handle and through the mediation of which said cartridge (14) can be removably attached by the detent to the handle (12) when said base structure (27) is put onto said handle (12) shaped extension (26). The base structure (27) can further include an interconnect member (24) including a base (27), which removably and fixedly attaches to asymmetrical extension (26) on handle (12), and two arms (28) that pivotally support the housing (16) on the interconnect member (24) wherein the housing (16) comprises a camming surface (136) and the interconnect member (24) comprises a recess for insertion therein a camming surface (136) spring-biased cam follower (44) carried by the handle (12) by means of which the rotation of the housing (16) relative to the interconnect member (24), in the cartridge (14) inserted onto the handle (12), is subjected to spring action restricting free rotation and thus swing of the housing (16). |
