Plastic container for food

The container of plastic, especially for foodstuff, has a bowl (1) and a lid (3) which can be fitted on the bowl and removed from it. A cover which forms a compartment inside the lid is fitted inside the lid and removable therefrom. The cover is fitted into the lid according to the principle of a bayonet connection. The cover has tongues circumferentially distributed on its outer edge and fit in openings in the lid and/or engage in corresponding slots or corresponding protrusions in the lid.
