A ceramic mass for the preparation of porcelain articles of economic and domestic and sanitary purpose with improved operating characteristics contains, % by weight: 20.2-22.5 of clay, 14.2-17.6 of enriched kaolin, 20.0-28.4 of alkaline non-enriched kaolin, 17.6-23.5 of fieldspar, 0.5-7.8 of quartz sand, 5.2-6.0 of porcelain articles breakage and 6.0-10.5 of dehydrated kaolin. The presence of dehydrated kaolin intensifies and strengthens forming mullite in crock, which causes increase of strength and thermal stability of samples. The composition of mass allows to reduce the firing temperature.
