987,045. Valves. COMMERCIAL SHEARING & STAMPING CO. Oct. 3, 1963 [Feb. 26, 1963], No. 38934/63. Heading F2V. In a spool valve, fluid from two sources, each of which independently operates a bank of valves for controlling hydraulic cylinders, may be coupled in series over the whole bank by mixing of the two fluid sources. In the position shown, fluid from a first source from a preceding controlled valve section passes, via inlet 14 and passage 16, to a low-pressure return 17, whilst fluid from a second source is diverted, via inlet 13 and high-pressure passage 15, to a series of succeeding valve sections as well as via an outlet passage 13a, in parallel therewith. Upon displacement of spool 11, both sources are combined in series, by external connection (not shown) of the inlets 13 and 14 via chamber 22. The inlet 13 is provided with a relief valve 21, to low-pressure return 17a.
|
