A mobile telephone, which has a function different from a telephone function, such as a radio function, comprising a non-telephone function part (radio function part) for executing the different function; an auto-power-off control part for automatically stopping the execution of the non-telephone function when a timer is set to operate during the execution of the different function and it shows that a predetermined time period has elapsed; a telephone function part for executing the telephone function; and a reset part for resetting the timer to its initial state each time a predetermined operation related to the telephone function is executed; wherein occurrences of the unwanted auto-power-off during execution of the non-telephone function, for example, during a time when the user is listening to the radio can be reduced. |
