The head has cutting assemblies (22) stacked along an axis (24), where each assembly has a circular blade (28) extending in a plane perpendicular to the axis, and a counter blade (32) with notches to partly disengage the circular blade. The blades (28, 32) have a relative rotation movement. Each assembly has a spiral spring (36) to plate the blade (28) against the blade (32). Each blade (28) has distinct juxtaposed sections. An independent claim is also included for a pre-pruner comprising a head.
