The machine has two sets of clamps (31, 32, 41, 42), and a power cylinder (6) moving the clamps (32, 42) in a position in which the four clamps define a cylindrical volume for receiving billets or wood logs for constituting a bundle. The power cylinder moves the clamps (32, 42) in another position in which the four clamps are spaced apart such that the bundle is unloaded from the machine through a free space between the four clamps. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a mobile logging machine including a bundling machine (2) a method of bundling billets or wood logs.
