<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an LED driving device which lights an LED stably by reducing electrical stress applied to the LED, and to provide a lighting device using it. <P>SOLUTION: The LED driving device 1 comprises: a lighting circuit 2 which converts a voltage (a source voltage) inputted from a direct current power source VE to a predetermined direct current voltage and outputs it to a LED light source 6 constituted by connecting a plurality of LEDs 6a in series; a protection circuit 4 which has an inductance element L1 placed on an output path from the lighting circuit 2 to the LED light source 6 and suppresses an abrupt change in the output voltage; a voltage detection circuit 5 which detects a voltage applied to the LED light source 6; and a current detecting resistor R0 which detects a current I flowing in the LED light source 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
