REFORMING CATALYST WITH WHISKER, ITS PRODUCTION METHOD AND CATALYST FOR CLEANING EXHAUST GAS USING THIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reforming catalyst with a whisker with excellent reaction efficiency and a catalyst for cleaning an exhaust gas using this.

SOLUTION: The reforming catalyst with the whisker has a substrate and a whisker part formed on a surface of the substrate. The substrate contains manganese and copper or iron and the whisker part contains an oxide containing manganese and copper or iron. The catalyst for cleaning the exhaust gas uses the reforming catalyst with the whisker. The reforming catalyst with the whisker is arranged in an exhaust gas flow passage. In the production method for the reforming catalyst with the whisker, the material substrate containing manganese and copper or iron is heated/treated in an inert gas atmosphere in which a slight amount of oxygen exists.
