<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a mixture separating from a gas by swirling the gas containing the mixture at a high speed and efficiently capturing the mixture included in the gas into a liquid by the centrifugal force. <P>SOLUTION: A spiral structure comprises a long circular cylindrical outer tube 1 having an opened front and an opened rear ends 1a and 1b, a long circular cylindrical inner tube 4 having a closed front and a closed rear ends, having an outer diameter approximately 1/4 to 3/4 of the inner diameter of the outer tube 1 and disposed is coaxially inside the outer tube 1 and a spiral plate 7 spirally fixed on the outer tube 1 and the inner tube 4 at a pitch of approximately 3/4 to 4 times of the outer diameter of the inner cylinder 4 to constitute a multiply layered swirling passage R passing through from the front end to the rear end of the outer cylinder 1. A front chamber 2 and a rear chamber 3 are formed by surrounding the outside of the front end 1a and the rear end 1b of the outer cylinder 1. A pneumatic feeder 12 capable of feeding air containing the mixture and mist at a high speed is connected to a gas feed opening 8 formed in the front chamber 2, an exhaust opening 9 is formed in the rear chamber 3, and waste liquid recovering openings 11 are formed in the midway of the swirling passage R of the outer cylinder 1 and in the rear chamber 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
