PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle hands-free telephone system automating the adjustment of a received voice volume against fluctuations in the received voice volume caused depending on a model of a mobile phone. SOLUTION: In the on-vehicle hands-free telephone system making a hands-free call by connecting a mobile phone to an on-vehicle unit, the on-vehicle unit is provided with: a speaker and a microphone; a tone volume detection section for detecting a tone volume of a ring back tone transmitted from a network side via the mobile phone at call origination; and a tone volume control section for controlling a voice volume of voice outputted from the speaker on the basis of the tone volume of the ring back tone.
