PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera which can be accurately focused even when moving correcting operation such as backlash elimination is not performed. SOLUTION: The electronic camera is provided with an actuator 9a for moving an imaging device 8 in an optical axis J direction. A piezoelectric element or the like is used as the actuator 9a. In performing focusing operation, the lens 3 is moved by a lens driving part 4a in a climbing system using a contrast evaluated value first. Thereafter, the imaging device 8 is moved to a position where the contrast evaluated value becomes a peak by using the actuator 9a. As a result, the imaging device 8 is positioned nearly as accurately as in the positioning accuracy of the actuator 9a, and the accurate focusing is performed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
