PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quantitatively recovering a silicon component by-produced by the aldol reaction of an aldehyde with a silicon enolate. SOLUTION: This method for recovering the silicon component in a stereoselective synthesis process by the aldol reaction of the aldehyde with the silicon enolate is characterized by comprising the following steps. Step 1: a step for aldol-reacting the aldehyde compound of raw material with the silicon enolate composition [general formula: R<SP>a</SP><SB>3</SB>Si-O-X (R<SP>a</SP>is an alkyl; X is an arbitrary substituent)] of raw material in the presence of a chiral ligand to perform stereoselective synthesis, Step 2: a step for distilling the reaction solution of Step 1 to separate the silicon component together with a solvent as a distillate, and Step 3: a step for treating the distillate of the Step 2 with concentrated sulfuric acid to obtain the produced silicon ether composition [general formula: (R<SP>a</SP><SB>3</SB>Si)<SB>2</SB>O] and simultaneously recover the silicon compound by a precision distillation.
