PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil-impregnated member for feeding a lubricant for the prevention of a deterioration in slidability to a carriage bearing part of a recording apparatus, and to prevent a deterioration in printing quality, the upsizing of the recording apparatus and the complication of assembling operations. SOLUTION: This recording apparatus comprises a carriage for scanning the inside of the recording apparatus by being equipped with a recording head, a guide shaft for guiding a scanning direction by being fitted into two bearings which are provided in the carriage, and the almost annular oil-impregnated member which is impregnated with the lubricant for being fed to the bearing part. The oil-impregnated member is held by a carriage cover member and a groove provided in the carriage, between the two bearings provided in the carriage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
