PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacity adjusting device that keeps cell voltages uniform after adjusting battery capacity, even if errors of circuit elements are present. SOLUTION: Capacity adjusting circuits G1 to G4 provided in the same quantity as cells s1 to s4 constituting a battery pack 1 compare the voltages of the cells and a predetermined bypass actuating voltage, and then hold down voltage variations among the cells by performing the discharge of corresponding cells, if the cell voltages are higher than the bypass actuating voltage. A cell-switching circuit 2 switches the connection relationships between respective cells s1 to s4 and the capacity adjusting circuits G1 to G4 for each specified time. Even if voltage comparison errors or bypass electric current errors are present in the capacity adjusting circuits G1 to G4, these errors are thereby cancelled during capacity adjustment, and the cell voltages after adjusting battery capacity is kept uniform.
