PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce tilt and vibration which result from drive force transmission, in a lens support mechanism using a guide bar. SOLUTION: The lens drive device includes: two guide bars 3 and 4 disposed parallel to each other in the direction of the optical axis of a lens 1; a lens holder 2 supported by the guide bars 3 and 4 and movable in the direction of the optical axis; a cam follower 6 or lead screw 7, as a means for driving the lens holder 2 in the direction of the optical axis; and a drive force transmission member 5 for transmitting drive force from the drive means to the lens holder 2. In the lens drive device, the drive force transmission member 5 is supported by the guide bar 3, and has contact sections 5a and 5b disposed in the vicinity of the circumference of the guide bar 3.
