PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-soluble laser paper mild to the environment, difficult to counterfeit, and having a low-cost effect; and to provide a method for producing the laser paper. SOLUTION: The method for producing the laser paper comprises a step for printing a prescribed pattern on a paper, a step for coating a water-soluble laser layer on the working plane of the paper, a step for manifesting mirror plane effects by heating the water-soluble laser layer, and manifesting the laser effects by pressing the paper having the water-soluble laser layer.
