PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To impart a dry unique touch feeling to a synthetic fiber by randomly arranging sharp unevennesses on the fiber surface. SOLUTION: The synthetic fiber is spun into a core-sheath structure of an axial core layer 14 and sheath layers (15 and 16) by a core component polymer and a sheath component polymer. Granules 12 are incorporated into the sheath component polymer and the outer surface 11 of the sheath layer is pushed out with the granules 12 to form raised protrusions 13. The sheath layer is preferably a double structure of an outer sheath layer 16 and an inner sheath layer 15. The granules 12 are preferably incorporated into the sheath component of the inner sheath layer 15. The area ratio of the cross-sectional area A of the axial core layer 14 composed of the core component, the cross-sectional area B of the inner sheath layer 15 and the cross-sectional area C of the outer sheath layer 16 is preferably set at (50-90)(A):(10-40)(B):≤10 (C).
